The Last Song- Movie/Book Review

The Last Song- A movie and book directed and written by Nicholas Sparks- seems to be very popular. I just went to see the movie last week in theaters, and it was excellent.

The whole story is about a girl named Ronnie. Her moms sends her to her dad's for the summer (Ronnie's parents are divorced), and she is unhappy about it. She hates her dad and never reads the letters he sends her. But, when she stays there a while, she finds love, for her dad, and for another boy. I shouldn't go any further, because I want the book (if you read it) and the movie (if you watch it) to be a surprise.

As you know, a movie based on a book can't be exactly the same, because it would take hours from the beginning to the end of the movie. Its the same with The Last Song (movie), and it was kind of disappointed to me that they left out some of the major highlights of the whole book, or thats what I thought. They really don't say why she's mad at her dad in the first place, and stuff like that. If you want to see the movie, I recommend reading the book first. I think it will help you understand the story.

Another thing that upsets me is that Miley Cyrus playing the part of a 18 year old and she doesn't necessarily look like an 18 year old. She is what.... 16? Even if she is 18, she still didn't look like it. I mean, c'mon.  Will, Ronnie's boyfriend, looked 18, but not her. I am sorry to keep complaining to you, but it was hard to believe she was out of high school.

The Last Song is a great book to read, but I must warn you that it is a little hard to get into. The movie kind of cuts out the boring parts. So, I must say that the movie and the book were great, and I recommend driving out to Wal-Mart right now so you can buy the book, and then going to see the movie in theaters when you are finished!
